Our story
Chess Kidz Rock exists for one reason: to put a chessboard in front of every young person who wants one.
Chess Kidz Rock is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and communities through chess education.
One of our most valued programs is the Chess Club. Chess is a game that expands critical thinking skills, improves concentration, promotes positive behavior, encourages strategic decision-making, and has been shown to improve mathematics performance.
Our club welcomes complete beginners and seasoned competitors alike. Students learn the rules properly, practise against each other and against our computer opponents, and earn a rating as they play — so progress is something they can actually see.
